As It was said on previous posts,
CrossFit and Functional training are almost the same and they use different
materials which are very similar or sometimes they even share them. In both
kind of trainings the movements which are done in life are used. The main
difference between CrossFit and Functional training is that CrossFit is focused
on drills which are completed depending on the number of repetitions and with
high intensity whereas functional training is about the duration which
establishes how much time must a drill last, being the intervals the essential
thing of this kind of training. We can find three different intervals
-Burn fats: The Tabata
method which has been previously explained consists of different drills in
order to burn fats (you have to eat healthy food). As it has been explained in
the previous post of functional training we are not going to focuse on it
anymore.
-Muscle definition:
It consists of training with weights and the most recommendable is for instance
four different circuits for each muscle in which the
intervals are longer and more intensive than normally.
-High performance: The intervals of activity last about 40-50 seconds whereas the recovery lasts between 10 and 20 seconds. To complete this training the body must have some adaptations so not everybody is able to do this training.
