CrossFit Games consist of
knowing what “The Fittest on Heart” is. Since 2007, when the first championship
took part the popularity and participation have been increased. Each year, the
competence is harder and the athletes have to increase their levels.
After Dios Rich Froning was
retired, the champion of the last four editions and his opponent Jason Khalipa,
this new edition of CrossFit games is presented with fantastic news. There are
some news such as the change of regions in CrossFit Games and the two new
categories in the Open.
The regions of Open CrossFit Games 2015
Each región
will send its best competitors to the regionals, this time they will be divided
into two or more regions in each championship but the quantity of athletes of
each region can vary: in the United States and Canada there are 20 per region,
in Europe and Australia 30 and in Africa, Latin America and Asia 10.
Regional
competitions will be like this:
- Canada West y North West Regions → West Regional
- Canada East y North East Regions → East Regional
- NorCal y SoCal Regions → California Regional
- North Central and Central East Regions → Central Regional
- South West, South Central y Latin America Regions → SouthRegional
- Mid Atlantic and South East Regions → Atlantic Regional
- Europe y Africa Regions → Meridian Regional
- Australiay Asia Regions → Pacific Regional
The main news
is that Latin America will share the region with the South West and South
Central which include the states of Texas, Nevada, Mississipi, New Mexico, Arizona
y Luisiana. So, the latin amerian crossfitter such as Orlando Trejo, will must
compete against other noth american people.
The new categories of the Open CrossFit Games 2015.
This year there
will be traditional classifications between mean and women and the different
categories of Master (above 44 years old) and two new divisions: Scaled Open,
with workouts adapted to athletes from all the levels; and Teenage Division,
For new people of CrossFit between 14 and 17 years old.
Punctuation for
Open Crossfit Games:
- Each athlete who completes a workout finish in a position
- This position equals to the number of points that you receive. The first one receives one point, the second 2, etc.
- In case of draw in some workout, the athletes will finish in the same posiiton and will receive the same points.For instance, if Froning and Khalipa complete exactly the same reps in a workout and they are behind you. You will receive a point and both Froning and Khalipa will receive a point each one.
- The person who finished behind them will finish 4th and not 3rd and will receive four points.
- As the main goa lis that wins the most complete done, the classifications will go from the lowest to number to the highest number.
- If you have finished first in a workout and in the 100th position in the second workout you will have 101 points after the second test.
