Like in other sports CrossFit has got its own language with lots of words that are used during different sessions in your box, here you can see the most imporant ones and right below you can find a pdf with the most common words.
WOD:(Workout Of the Day), It is a training session.
Box: It is the place where the training session is completed. Either a gym or a Fitness centre.
AMRAP:(As Many Rounds As Possible), Either as many repetitions as possible or the same but also taking into consideration the time.
ROM: (Range Of Motion) it is the range of motion that is needed so that a repetition is correct.
For time: It means that the time must be registered needed for a drill or sets of drills. Drills must be completed very quickly
HERO WODs: They are CrossFit HQ, It is related to heroes that lost at least once in life.The challenge consists of completing a training session in order to honour a hero who sacrificed lots of sweating. In Spain exists training sessions because of Terrorism casualties.
TABATA = It is a kind of training in which eight round are completed in just 20m seconds of máximum repetitions followed by ten seconds of recovery. The total amount of work is four minutes.
Uncle Rhabdo: He is like a clown that is related to CrossFit. This theory says that Crossfit could cause Rhabdomyolysis.
